Sometimes, adversity shapes who we are,
A storm that tests us, near or far.
Nobody knows what lies ahead,
But in a blink, the path has spread.
A sudden fall, a broken dream,
A challenge tougher than it seemed.
But strength is born in darkest nights,
When we choose to rise and fight.
When Helen lost her sight and sound,
She found new ways, stood strong and proud.
With words she carved her place so bright,
A beacon glowing in the night.
Yet if we let our hope slip away,
Adversity turns the skies to gray.
It snaps the ropes of skills and trust,
And leaves behind a trail of dust.
